Aconundrum, (ACO) is made up of four talented musicians who all bring something different to the band. We are a mixture of influences including our drummer, Justin Barnes, adding his jazz/funk background. Jef Keruma, our lead guitar player, adds a heavier side having interests in Van Halen and Metalocalypse. Our bass player, Reid Clagett, broadens us further with his classical music experience. Last but certainly not least, Josh Randle, our vibrant Paramore influenced lead singer delivers a voice you cannot stop listening to! We take pride in our musical diversity by highlighting each one of our strengths, producing a positive and powerful sound.
Aconundrum’s goal is to inspire others by pushing musical boundaries, while providing a passionate energetic performance. |
From the beginning... |
To where we are now |
Josh and Justin met working at a restaurant in Murfreesboro, TN in 2014. They started writing together, and eventually had Justin's brother-in-law, Jef, join in. Soon after, Reid took over as bassist and that was that! The band was officially formed in early 2017.

Our debut album "LAYERS" is out now! We had a blast recording it, and are so excited for you all to hear it! Check it out on all digital platforms, and you can snag a physical copy at our shows!

Jef Keruma: Guitar
"My dad was a sushi chef, so I literally consumed his art. I was unfortunately never able to share my art with him. This project is the first step in making sure that never happens again." |
Joshua Randle: Lead Vocals
"I just want to make music that makes everyone happy and want to be themselves. This project is all about celebrating individuality, and that's what a lot of our songs are about too. You do you." |
Reid Clagett: Bass
"Music is a huge part of the human condition and it’s hard to imagine a world without songs and symphonies. Every emotion and story, from any point in time, can be expressed in some form of music. Being able to share these experiences with others helps me get through this little adventure called life." |
Justin Barnes: Drums
"I grew up listening to all kinds of music. All of the different emotions, and messages helped me through hard times in my life. Music has always been a very personal outlet for me and is always there when you need it most. I want our music to help others who might be having a hard time." |
